I have a vga to hdmi cable connected from my pc to my emerson hdtv. i have no problem with the video but, my audio on the television is not working? Brighthouse cable box l 7. Hdmi hookup problem...just connected ... It's because the mass manufactured cable STB(set top boxes) usually have proprietary software that downloads from the cable company's head end every time it reboots. The boxes are massed produced with hardware inside them and most providers create their own software for them..
